How signals are ranked.
1 · Ingestion
We pull from official RSS feeds, ProMED-mail, WHO Disease Outbreak News, ECDC threat reports, and national agency bulletins every 15 minutes.
2 · Geo-resolution
Each signal is geocoded to the smallest reliable administrative unit (region, province, or city) using a curated gazetteer.
3 · Severity scoring
We classify each signal as critical, high, medium or low based on case count, fatality rate, source authority and corroboration across independent sources.
4 · Trend detection
We compare 7-day and 30-day windows to flag rising, stable or falling clusters.
